For thirty-five years
the Nyingma Institute in Berkeley
has been protecting and preserving Tibet's wisdom traditions.
Learn about the Nyingma Institute's activities
and about the importance of Tibetan Buddhist teachings
in the world today.
All events are free and open to the public.

1-1:45 PM
Tibetan Yoga (Kum Nye) demonstration and class.
2-2:30 PM
Talk: Barr Rosenberg on "A Timeless Educational Model."
2:30-3:30 PM
Guided tours of the Nyingma Institute campus
(tours start every 15 minutes)
3:30 to 4:15 PM
Rededication and blessing of the building.
4:15-5 PM
Demonstrations on making prayer wheels and sacred art.
5-5:45 PM
Tibetan chanting
6-7 PM
Keynote address: Sylvia Gretchen, on "Tibetan Wisdom for the Modern World."
Light refreshments will be available throughout the afternoon.

Full Moon Chant
the next public full moon chant will be
Friday, July 18th
8 - 9:30 pm
We continue an ancient practice
by coming together in community
on the full moon
to chant the Vajra Guru Mantra,
evoking the great power and blessing of Padmasambhava.
The chant ends with meditation.
